Bayern increasing lead

FC Bayern Munich have increased their lead in chart after winning 4:0 against Hoffenheim while most followers failed to win. Gladbach and Wolfsburg both lost against Frankfurt and Schalke and Leverkusen beat Hanover. Borussia Dortmund´s draw against recently promoted Paderborn was overshadowed by another heavy injury of Marco Reus who will not play until January. HSV meanwhile won the North Derby against Bremen while Stuttgart´s loss against FC Augsburg lead to coach Armin Veh resign on Monday.


Mario Goetze scored the leading goal for FCB with a very strong long-shot.

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim are among the followers of FC Bayern Munich in Bundesliga but as both teams went head to head during the weekend they lost 0:4 enabling FC Bayern to increase their lead in chart to seven points. Direct followers Wolfsburg and Moenchengladbach lost against FC Schalke and Eintracht Frankfurt 2:3 and 1:3. Wolfsburg were behind 0:3 pretty early while Gladbach was in the lead but gave it away. Bayer 04 Leverkusen meanwhile beat Hanover 09 3:1 to gain position four.

Borussia Dortmund on the other hand failed to climb up in chart as they only drew 2:2 against SC Paderborn despite leading 2:0 at half time. Second half not only saw Paderborn equalize but Marco Reus getting fouled so badly his ligament was torn and he will miss all remaining matches in 2014.

HSV winning North Derby

Hamburger SV meanwhile won the North Derby against SV Werder Bremen on Sunday. After a mediocre match with small advantages on Hamburg´s side two late goals by Rudnevs and Arslan decided the match that ended 2:0 for HSV.

Last placed VfB Stuttgart lost 0:1 against FC Augsburg on Sunday night which lead to coach Armin Veh resign on Monday. More games on the weekend were the 2:2 draw of Mainz and Freiburg as well as the 2:1 victory of Hertha BSC Berlin over 1. FC Cologne.
