Current German Champion Borussia Dortmund is on the first winning streak this season. BVB won the last two games in a row and will pass second placed Bremen in case of a victory on Friday night. HSV´s fight for points in Freiburg will be the last one without new head coach Thorsten Fink who will train the team from Monday on.

The top game of match day 9 in German Bundesliga will be the Friday night game between Werder Bremen and Borussia Dortmund. Current champion BVB will pass second placed Bremen in case of a victory. It would be the third win in a row for Dortmund.

The current lead in Bundesliga still belongs to FC Bayern Munich. After hitting a bump in a road last match day by ending up chopping the points in Hoffenheim, Bayern are looking to get back on track. They encounter recently promoted Hertha BSC Berlin.

The second promoted FC Augsburg are still looking for their first win this season. In order to do so this week they head for Mainz to play 05 on their home turf. VFB Stuttgart will face Hoffenheim and Nuremberg is looking to earn points in Wolfsburg.

Another top game of this match day will be the encounter of Borussia Moenchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen. Gladbach lost their last match in Freiburg. Against Leverkusen they have not won a single game for 19 years straight – worst dry period in Bundesliga history.

The Saturday night game will be FC Schalke 04 against 1. FC Kaiserslautern. 8 matches into the campaign FCK have the worst record of the club´s history (5 points). Last season they won both matches against Schalke without receiving a goal.

On Sunday Hamburger SV, the last club in chart, will play the first and last match under temporary in charge head coach Frank Arnesen, who normally is the team manager. Thorsten Fink will coach HSV from Monday on. His contract will be valid until 2014.

The Sunday night game will be between 1. FC Cologne and Hanover 96.
