HSV and Schalke 04 will head into match day 7 of German Bundesliga without their coaches Michael Oenning respectively Ralf Ragnick. Hamburger SV fired Oenning on Monday in cause of inefficacy, HSV booked only one point so far. Schalke´s Ragnick quit on Thursday due to health issues.

The one was foreseeable, the other one came totally unannounced. German football clubs HSV and Schalke 04 are no longer working together with their head coaches Michael Oenning respectively Ralf Ragnick. Hamburg´s Oenning had not won a game for 13 league matches straight and only achieved one point this campaign. His denunciation on late Monday was no real surprise although HSV sports head Frank Arnesen had bolstered Oenning only two days before.

Schlake´s coach Ralf Ragnick however shocked the German football world by quitting on Thursday due to health issues. He would be unable to continue his job in cause of burnout syndrome, Ragnick said. Both clubs will now have to find new coaches. HSV encounter VFB Stuttgart on Friday night while Schalke receive SC Freiburg on Saturday afternoon.

Also on Saturday current champion Borussia Dortmund will try to shake off the two games losing streak and the suboptimal start to the season. Only 7 points out of 6 matches cannot be enough for Juergen Klopps team. Dortmund´s coach has a long history as a Mainz player and trainer. BVB only won 1 of the last 8 encounters with Mainz 05.

Also playing on Saturday will be Wolfsburg and Kaiserslautern, Moenchengladbach and Nurenberg as well as Augsburg and Hanover. On late Saturday the most anticipated game of the weekend will take place when Bayern Munich receive Bayer 04 Leverkusen in the Allianz Arena. Munich is on a heater by winning 8 games in a row without conceding one goal.

On Sunday FC Cologne who crushed Leverkusen with 4-1 on their home turf last week will play against Hoffenheim and SV Werder Bremen will receive recently promoted Herha BSC Berlin.
