The classic rivalry of German and English football clubs will get a new platform as all Bundesliga teams in UEFA Champions League will meet teams out of Premier League in group stage. FC Bayern Munich have most likely the overall easiest group with BVB having the worst. FCB will meet ZSKA Moskau, Man City and Pilsen while Dortmund will encounter Arsenal, Marseille and Napoli. Schalke will have to play Chelsea, Basel and Bukarest, Leverkusen will face Man U, Donezk and Real Sociedad. All groups are listed below. Before the draw started FC Bayern Franck Ribery was elected Europe´s player of the year with 36 of the 53 votes followed by Messi and Ronaldo.
