Bayer out, Bayern surpass

The first week of play in round of 16 in UEFA Champions League had no real surprises to offer. All favorite teams made it to the next round. German FC Bayern Munich´s 1:1 draw against FC Arsenal was enough to surpass while fellow Bundesliga competitor Bayer 04 Leverkusen had been kicked out of the competition by Paris St. Germain. After losing first leg 0:4 on home turf Bayer´s chances had been pretty slim anyway and the 1:2 defeat in Paris did the rest. Meanwhile Atletico Madrid kicked out AC Milan and Barcelona won against Manchester City to make it the round of eight. All results are listed below:
