Bayern and Dortmund drawing in headliner
The most anticipated match of the season with two best German clubs, Dortmund and Bayern, going head to head ended in a 1-1-1 draw. The tie was the result of two strong teams encountering on an eye to eye level. Bayer Leverkusen used the draw to increase the gap between them and Dortmund to three points.

Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich collided on Saturday night in what was the most anticipated match of the season so far. The two top teams fit the expectations as the match was pretty intense but it overall lacked of strong opportunities. Toni Kroos (67th minute) scored the lead for FC Bayern but Mario Goetze (74th) equalized just seven minutes later to set the score board to the final result.
The gap between the two remains eleven points but second placed Leverkusen used the draw to increase the lead towards Dortmund to three points. Fourth placed Schalke 04 also drew 1-1 against Moenchengladbach while Fifth placed Eintracht Frankfurt surprisingly lost their match against Fortuna Duesseldorf with 0-4 on Friday night.
Mainz climbing up in chart
Mainz 05 beat Hanover with 2-1 climbing up in chart sitting already on sixth position. Stuttgart and Werder Bremen also gained points as they defeated Greuther Fuerth and TSG Hoffenheim with 1-0 and 4-1 respectively. TSG fired coach Markus Babbel on Monday.
The match between VFL Wolfsburg and Hamburger SV ended also in a 1-1 draw with both teams having their fine share of the game. Maximilian Beister (26th) scored again after shooting his first goal for HSV one week earlier but his leading goal was equalized by Kjaer (68th minute). The match between Augsburg and Freiburg also ended in a 1-1 draw, the result of matchday 15.
