Bayern beating BVB in DFB Pokal
FC Bayern Munich are showing a very dominant performance in Bundesliga this season and now they have defeated the biggest rival in DFB Pokal Borussia Dortmund. FCB played superior over the full 90 minutes and earned the 1-0-victory after all. VFB Stuttgart, VFL Wolfsburg and SC Freiburg also managed to proceed to the semifinals.

Dortmund´s forward Robert Lewandowksi (left) is rumoured to be playing for Bayern next season. His performance on Wednesday was quite unexciting.
FC Bayern Munich defeated the biggest rival in German national Cup DFB Pokal by kicking defending champion Borussia Dortmund out of the competition on Wednesday. Bayern were the better team over 90 minutes and deserved to win in the end.
Arjen Robben had scored the winning goal just before the end of first half against overall way too passive BVB players. Mats Hummels was painfully missed in Dortmund´s defense and many players did not managed to get to their maximum performance. Keeper Roman Weidenfeller was the only player on BVB side having a really good day defending more than once the only small deficit of one goal.
It was the first win for FC Bayern against Dortmund in the seventh try and after five defeats and one draw in Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal over the last two years. After that victory Bayern are more than the favorite to win DFB Pokal this year as the remaining competition will be SC Freiburg, VFB Stuttgart and VFL Wolfsburg.
Freiburg turned things around in a dramatic match with Mainz 05 after being 0-2 behind winning 3-2 in overtime. VFL Wolfsburg defeated Kickers Offenbach with 2-1 and Stuttgart had to win 2-0 against Bochum to make their way to the semifinals.
