FC Bayern Munich is still Bundesliga´s top team in chart, but they fell just short of a draw against promoted Augsburg as keeper Manuel Neuer kept the win secure five minutes before the end with an astonishing safe. The end result was 2-1 for Germany´s record title holder.
The competition is keeping track however as Borussia Dortmund crushed VFL Wolfsburg with 5-1. Young superstar Mario Goetze scored twice in what was a seemingly easy cruise for the current German champion. Shinji Kagawa´s, Robert Lewandowski´s and Sven Bender´s goals made the 5-1 victory complete.
Werder Bremen´s day was not that easy, but the green-whites also managed to secure three points against Cologne. At half time Cologne was 2-0 in the lead but Bremen´s Claudio Pizarro turned the game around in second half by scoring three times.
Most surprising team of the campaign Borussia Moenchengladbach also won their game in Berlin. Young forward Marco Reus scored twice to secure the 2-1 win for Gladbach. Gladbach, Bremen and Dormund have now 23 Points – five shy of Munich´s current ranking of 28.
Former second placed Schalke 04 had a rough day in a very good match against Hanover 96 on Sunday. S04 was leading 1-0 as Teemu Pukki scored the early lead in his first appearance in Schalke´s staring eleven but Hanover temporally turned the game around to 2-1. 15 minutes before the end it was again Pukki who´s goal saved the draw for Schalke.
HSV´s new head coach Thorsten Fink is still waiting for his first win in Bundesliga with his new club but has not lost a game there too. In Saturday´s night match Bayer 04 Leverkusen was leading by 2-0 but Hamburg managed to gain momentum and equalize the match.
