This weekend´s headliner will most definitely be the encounter of Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund. The two teams closest to dominant leader Bayern will clash on late Sunday. FCB will meet Mainz while Frankfurt and Hamburg will fight for important points on the way to international competitions. Werder Bremen and Hanover 96 will kick off matchday 20 on Friday night with another North Derby.

German Bundesliga is suffering from a lack of tension at the moment as dominant FC Bayern Munich is leading second placed Bayer 04 Leverkusen with eleven points. The gap towards third placed Borussia Dortmund is twelve points huge. On matchday 20 the two teams that come closest to a rival for Munich will face each other giving FCB another good opportunity to increase their lead. Leverkusen and Dortmund will round up the matchday on late Sunday.

FC Bayern will face Mainz 05 on Saturday. Usually that sounds like a rather easy task for Jupp Heynckes´ team but FSV are on a pretty good roll at the moment sitting pretty on position five in chart. The match will show how good they really are right now.

Frankfurt and Hamburg on the way to Europe

Eintracht Frankfurt are one of the biggest surprises of the season. The recently promoted team played very well so far and is sitting on an astonishing fourth place in chart. Hamburger SV on the other hand started off rather badly into this season but are back on track now only five points behind Eintracht and looking to shorten the gap.

For Schalke 04 it will be very important to win against Greuther Fuerth on Saturday in order not to loose track of the leading teams. Last matchday´s goalless draw against FC Augsburg did it´s part in putting pressure on Schalke.

More games on Saturday will take place between VFL Wolfsburg and FC Augsburg, Fortuna Duesseldorf and VFB Stuttgart as well as TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and SC Freiburg. The second Sunday match in the afternoon will be the encounter of 1. FC Nuremberg and Borussia Moenchengladbach.
