Franck Ribery´s strong free kick goal for the 2:0 just before the break was the early knock out blow for Augsburg.

Last week FC Bayern Munich equalized the 30-year-old record of Hamburger SV by staying unbeaten in 36 games in Bundesliga. This weekend they even surpassed HSV by winning 3:0 against FC Augsburg. They also benefited from Borussia Dortmund´s blunder in Wolfsburg as the team of Coach Juergen Klopp lost their match 1:2 despite being in the lead at half time. Bayer 04 Leverkusen beat Hamburger SV to catch up with BVB in points. In a strong match with a lot of goals the individual faults of HSV players made the difference in the end as they scored three times but still lost 3:5. Former HSV employee Heung-Min Son scored three times for his new team.

The four teams following the top three in chart all managed to win their games. Fourth placed Borussia Moenchengladbach beat 1. FC Nuremberg on Saturday night with 3:1, Wolfsburg on five won against Dortmund, FC Schalke 04 turned things around against Werder Bremen thanks to two headers by Kevin-Prince Boateng to secure the 3:1-win and Hertha BSC Berlin was victorious in Sinsheim against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. Goalless Derby

The highly anticipated Derby in Lower-Saxony on Friday night between Hanover 96 and Eintracht Braunschweig was a very intense match with both teams fighting for the win. In the end none of the two managed to score and the match ended 0:0. Some illegal fireworks in the stadium overshadowed the match as some even were launched at the pitch.

The Sunday matches saw FSV Mainz 05 scoring the late lead against Eintracht Frankfurt winning the game and putting Armin Veh´s team deeper in the hole. Ten points out of twelve matches and position 15 in chart cannot be enough for the team playing in Europa League. In the second match VfB Stuttgart beat SC Freiburg in a Derby in Baden-Wuerttemberg with 3:1 thanks to two goals of 17-year-old talent Timo Werner.
