Bayern stumbling in Freiburg
FC Bayern Munich have left out the first points of the young season. Against SC Freiburg they only drew 1-1 thanks to a late goal of SCF. The game of matchday four had to be scheduled earlier as FC Bayern will meet FC Chelsea in UEFA Supercup on Friday. All other matches will take place during the weekend.
Nicolas Hoefer scored the equalizer for SCF in minute 86.
After starting perfectly into season 2013/2014 with nine points in three matches in Bundesliga FC Bayern Munich left out the first points of the season. The match with SC Freiburg on Tuesday ended 1-1 after a late equalizer by Coach Streich´s team in minute 86. The game had to be scheduled earlier as FCB will meet FC Chelsea London on Friday in UEFA Supercup. All other games of matchday four will take place during the weekend.
Borussia Dortmund will meet Eintracht Frankfurt on late Sunday. The team of Armin Veh managed to secure their participation in Europa League by surviving the second round of qualifiers under the week. BVB coach Klopp will have to substitute Ilkay Guendogan who is going to miss a couple of matches due to back problems. VFB Stuttgart will also have to play on Sunday. The club fired coach Bruno Labbadia after last matchdays loss in Augsburg and new manager Thomas Schneider will have his first league match against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. Under the week VFB failed to proceed to Europa League in qualification second leg against HNK Rijeka.
Schalke and Leverkusen in headliner
FC Schalke 04 proceeded to UEFA Champions League group stages under the week and will encounter Bayer 04 Leverkusen in this weekend´s headliner. Bayer have won every single game in Bundesliga so far and are looking to continue the streak against Schalke who have not won a match this season yet.
Also perfectly started FSV Mainz 05 will meet Hanover 96. The team of Thomas Tuchel has won three out of three so far and Hanover have won two and lost one. The season of Hamburger SV is all but perfect so far as they gathered only one point and lost against Hoffenheim and recently promoted Hertha BSC Berlin. Now the other promoted team Eintracht Braunschweig will be the guest in Hamburg. Berlin will have to play in Wolfsburg at the same time. The other two games on matchday four will take place between Borussia Moenchengladbach and Werder Bremen as well as between 1. FC Nuremberg and FC Augsburg.
