Bayern with good chances, Bayer almost out

The first week of the round of last 16 in UEFA Champions League was quite up-and-down from a German perspective. Bayer 04 Leverkusen started on Tuesday and showed a devastating performance against Paris St. Germain. Also thanks to two goals of Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic Bayer lost their home game 0:4 and have already one foot out of the door in this competition. FC Bayern Munich on Wednesday faced FC Arsenal in what was a very strong match for one half with both teams missing on penalty and good opportunities on both sides. But the penalty for Munich just before the break lead to Arsenal´s keeper being sent off the pitch with a red card and despite Alaba failing to score Bayern turned their superior number of players into clear dominance in second half which lead to Kroos and Mueller scoring the two winning goals making their trip to London a very successful one.
