Bayern with no glamour but effective

Matchday 24 was just one more step for FC Bayern Munich towards the championship this year as they beat Hoffenheim with 1-0 despite a weak performance. Borussia Dortmund were victorious in their match with Hanover staying 17 points behind Bayern in chart. Bayer Leverkusen also won their match in Stuttgart.

This weekend´s German football had no real surprises ready as Bayern, Dortmund and Leverkusen all won their matches. Bayern beat Hoffenheim 1-0 despite a weak performance, BVB let Hanover no chance by winning 3-1 and Bayer 04 Leverkusen turned the match around in the last ten minutes of the match making a 2-1 out of a 0-1 against VFB Stuttgart.

The only surprise this matchday was the 0-1 home loss from Werder Bremen against FC Augsburg. FCA are on a good way now to at least get to the relegation round as the gap towards the relegation positions in chart is at five points now. Last placed Greuther failed to surprise in Hamburg despite scoring the lead an ended up chopping the points with disappointing HSV players.

More results on matchday 24 were the 0-1-defeat of Eintracht Frankfurt against Borussia Moenchengladbach on Friday night, the 4-1-victory of FC Schalke 04 in Wolfsburg and the two 1-1-draws of 1. FC Nuremberg and SC Freiburg as well as in the match of Fortuna Duesseldorf and FSV Mainz 05.
