Bundesliga back from winter break

The Bundesliga is back and will continue this weekend. Schalke 04 and Hanover 96 will start off on Friday night, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern will face Bremen and Fuerth respectively on Saturday. The most important news of the winter was Bayern´s announced engagement with Pep Guardiola who will be in charge in Munich beginning in summer.


The assignment of Pep Guardiola as new coach in Munich beginning in summer was the announcment of the winter break.

After a couple of weeks winter break the Bundesliga is back. Strong matchups are lying ahead but important news were announced over the holidays. FC Bayern Munich´s coach Jupp Heynckes will end his astonishing, long career in summer and none other than the world´s most wanted coach Pep Guardiola will inherit his position. Borussia Dortmund surprised with lending their former player Nuri Sahin from Real Madrid.

First task for FC Bayern in 2013 will be defeating FC Augsburg on Saturday while BVB will meet Bremen on their home turf on Saturday night in this weeks headliner. An appearance of newly reassigned Nuri Sahin is indefinite.

More games on Saturaday will take place between: Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and Borussia Moenchengladbach, VFL Wolfsburg and VFB Stuttgart as well as Mainz 05 and SC Freiburg.

Schalke and Hanover kicking off second leg

The first match of the second leg will be the encounter of Schalke 04 and Hanover 96 on Friday night. Schalke are unbeaten in four games straight against Hanover and looking to continue this run in perspective of the weak finish of the first leg after a strong start into this campaign.

On Sunday Hamburger SV will travel to Nuremberg to face the 1.FC before Fortuna Duesseldorf and FC Augsburg are going head to head for the last match of matchday 18.
