Borussia Dortmund took Hamburger SV apart in the Saturday night match winning 6:2 which resulted in HSV firing head coach Thorsten Fink on Monday. FC Bayern Munich beat Hanover 96 with 2:0, Bayer 04 Leverkusen won against Wolfsburg with 3:1 and Schalke managed to secure three points in Mainz thanks to the first goal of new-arrival Kevin-Prince Boateng.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored the 2:0 for his club, BVB.

Borussia Dortmund had a score to settle with Hamburg as they lost both matches last season against Thorsten Fink´s team. They were hungry for a revenge on Saturday night and left no doubt who was in charge in Signal-Iduna-Park this time from the beginning on. Aubameyang (minute 19) and Mkhitaryan (´22) brought BVB a well-earned lead in a dominant first half before Lam (´26) got one back for HSV out of the blue.

After the break HSV even equalized after a free kick despite being dominated by BVB in every sense of the word. Dortmund had several very good opportunities but it took to minute 65 until Aubameyang put them in the lead again. HSV then just collapsed and Lewandowski (´73), Reus (´74) and again Lewandowski put the finishing touches on the match. On the and it was 32 to 4 in shots on goal, 7 to 2 corner kicks and 6:2 in goals for Dortmund. HSV coach Thorsten Fink was fired on Monday night despite the management backing him up on Sunday but then obviously changing their minds later.

Bayern winning against Hanover

FC Bayern Munich meanwhile beat Hanover 96 with 2:0 despite showing no real passion in play which lead to Sports head Matthias Sammer criticizing his team after the game. His players would play only up to 95 percent which would not be enough in his mind to succeed on their level of play.

Bayer Leverkusen fought a 3:1-win against VFL Wolfsburg thanks to two goals of Kießling. Luiz Gustavon saw the yellow red card for the second time this season in the process. FC Schalke won their match in Mainz with 1:0 thanks to Kevin-Prince Boateng´s first goal for S04.

The other matches of the weekend saw FC Augsburg beating SC Freiburg with 2:1 despite being one behind. It was the first time in Bundesliga history for Augsburg to win three in a row. VfB Stuttgart already beat Hertha BSC on Friday night with a little luck on their side as Berlin was the more aggressive team but Stuttgart´s keeper Ulreich saving a lot of good opportunities and Gentner scoring the only goal after a corner kick. On Sunday TSG 1899 Hoffenheim won the match against Borussia Moenchengladbach with 2:1 and the match between 1. FC Nuremberg and Eintracht Braunschweig ended 1:1.
