Borussia Dortmund lost the match with FC Bayern and fell down to position 17 in chart. Moenchengladbach and Wolfsburg both win and secure their position right behind FCB. HSV beat Bayer Leverkusen in an intense match with a lot of fouls while SC Freiburg and Werder Bremen celebrate their first victories of the season. SC Paderborn meanwhile also had a lot to celebrate.

Experienced player Kehl was visibly devastated after the loss in Munich.

The match between Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich usually means two German top teams meet but this time BVB were 14 points behind them and after the 1:2 loss even dropped down to position 17 in chart. Despite being one in the lead and playing on an eye-to-eye level for most of the match BVB were unable to defeat FCB as the team of coach Pep Guardiola scored twice during the last 20 minutes. It was the seventh loss for Dortmund in ten matches already.

FC Bayern on the other hand lead the pack with 24 points to their name. Their biggest opponents at the moment are Borussia Moenchengladbach and VfL Wolfsburg with 20 points each. VfL crushed VfB Stuttgart 4:0 while Gladbach won 3:1 against Hoffenheim to stay the only team – besides Bayern – not to have lost a match yet.

Intense game in Hamburg

The match in Hamburg was a pretty intense one as 50 fouls and nine yellow cards stood in the books afterwards. The supporters of the home team had no sympathy left for Hakan Calhanoglu who left HSV in summer for Bayer Leverkusen in dirty fashion and now came back with his new team. A penalty kick decided the match for HSV as van der Vaart scored the winning 1:0.

SC Freiburg and Werder Bremen meanwhile celebrated their first victories this season. SCF beat 1. FC Cologne to do so while Werder turned the match in Mainz around to win 2:1. It was the first league match under new head coach Skripnik. More games on matchday ten saw Hanover 96 beat Eintracht Frankfurt 1:0, Schalke winning 1:0 against FC Augsburg on Friday night already and SC Paderborn defeating Hertha BSC Berlin 3:1.
