BVB encounter strong Wolfsburg, FCB receives Augsburg
Borussia Dortmund have just let the lead shrink to three points last week and will have to face Wolfsburg this week. Felix Magath´s team won the last four and is highly motivated to finish the season on the upper seven ranks of the chart. Meanwhile FC Bayern seems to have a rather easy task with FC Augsburg coming to Munich.
The pressure for Borussia Dortmund is rising as the lead towards second placed Bayern has shrunk to three points and the matchup of both teams is only one matchday away. This weekend BVB have to face Wolfsburg on their home turf. Felix Magath´s team won the last four games and is coming closer to the upper ranks of the charts which would enable them to play Europa League next season.
BVB desperately needs the points though as FC Bayern will come to Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday. Bayern will receive promoted Augsburg at the same time. FCA is unbeaten in six games straight and really needs to gain points in order to fight relegation. Nobody expects too much of them in Allianz Arena though.
On Sunday FC Schalke 04 will encounter Hanover 96. Schalke have not lost nine home games in a row but Hanover wants to end that run in order to get to the Europa-League-places in chart.
Borussia Moenchengladbach have lost the last two games in a row. This happened for the first time this season. On late Saturday they will play against Hertha BSC Berlin. Otto Rehagel´s team is deep in relegation struggle and could give Gladbach a hard time.
On late Sunday Hamburger SV will receive Bayer 04 Leverkusen. The “Werkself” struggled over the last couple of games resulting in firing of Robin Dutt. Former Bayer player Sami Hyypiä is now entitled to keep Leverkusen in track for Europa League.
More games on Saturday will be the relegation fight between upcoming SC Freiburg and 1. FC Nuremberg as well as the games of 1. FC Kaiserslautern against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, 1. FC Cologne against Werder Bremen and VFB Stuttgart against Mainz 05.
