BVB looking to continue winning streak
Current German champion Borussia Dortmund is on a four game winning streak in Bundesliga and is on place 2 in chart. Next opponent VFB Stuttgart is on a little role themselves as they have only lost one of the last six. On Saturday the match will decide who´s run will come to an end.
After crushing Cologne last week with 5-0 Borussia Dortmund is highly motivated to continue their good run and stay close to leader FC Bayern Munich. On Saturday they will encounter VFB Stuttgart. Bruno Labbadia´s team is on a role as well by only losing on out of the last six matches. Only against Schalke 04 (39 times) they won more often than against BVB (38 times).
On Friday night Bayer Leverkusen will play against SC Freiburg. It is the first match for coach Robin Dutt against his former club. Leverkusen have lost their last game against Schalke and needs three points to stay in touch with the top six teams. Last placed SC Freiburg who have lost seven games already might be the best opponent to do so.
First ranked FC Bayern Munich were on a little dry period lately by only winning four points in three matches. This weekend they will try to get back on track against 1. FC Nuremberg. They really need a win to keep their lead.
Schalke 04 will have to face TSG Hoffenheim. The Gelsenkirchen residents only won one out of six matches against the TSG. More games on Saturday are Wolfsburg against Hertha BSC Berlin, Gladbach against Hannover and the night game will take place between Mainz 05 and Werder Bremen.
On Sunday FC Augsburg will play against 1. FC Cologne. The trend definitely indicated upwards over the last weeks for the promoted Augsburg as they scored their first victory of the season and achieved a draw against Werder Bremen last week. Cologne however is a double-edged sword this campaign. They won 4-1 against last year´s runner up Bayer Leverkusen and lost 0-5 in Dortmund last week.
The night game will complete match day 11 of German Bundesliga. HSV will play against 1. FC Kaiserslautern. The “red devils” as they are called are looking to secure the third win in a row in Hamburg but HSV-Coach Thorsten Fink is hungry for his first win in Bundesliga with his new club.
