BVB meet Stuttgart, Bayern receiving HSV

The Bundesliga is back after one week of pause for the World Championship qualifier matches. FC Bayern and Dortmund will face Hamburg and Stuttgart respectively during the weekend preparing for their important quarterfinal matches in Champions League next week. Bayer Leverkusen will play in Duesseldorf.


FC Bayern won the first leg this season 3-0 in Hamburg.

The German national team won both their matches during the Bundesliga break against Kazakhstan and are on their way to World Championship 2014 in Brazil. For most players it will be returning to normal this weekend when the Bundesliga comes back.

Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich will meet VFB Stuttgart and Hamburger SV respektively during the weekend before their important quarter finals in UEFA Champions League on Tuesday and Wednesday. Dortmund will play in Malaga on Wednesday and Bayern will face Juventus Turin on Tuesday.

Leverkusen in Duesseldorf

Third placed Bayer 04 Leverkusen will play in Duesseldorf on Saturday. The Factory Squad is four points behind second placed BVB and six points ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt on fourth position while Duesseldorf have a solid five point lead towards position 16.

SC Freiburg and Borussia Moenchengladbach will go head to head in direct struggle for Europa League positions in chart while Mainz 05, also with hopes for Europa League, will face Werder Bremen. The team of coach Thomas Schaaf needs some points to avoid being torn into relegation struggle as they have only 30 points on position 14.

FC Augsburg and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, both deep in relegation struggle, will clash with Hanover 96 and Schalke 04 respectively. The Sunday games this weekend will take place between VFL Wolfsburg and 1. FC Nuremberg as well as Greuther Fuerth and Eintracht Frankfurt.
