Championship celebration postponed
FC Bayern Munich will be German champion this year, the only question is when it will be official. This weekend they could have started the celebration already if Dortmund lost while FCB won. Bayern crushed Hamburger SV with 9-2 giving them the most painful and highest defeat in the 50 year old history of the club in Bundesliga. BVB however beat VFB Stuttgart with 2-1 to postpone Munich´s celebration for one week.

Although the championship celebration was delayed for one week, Bayern´s players had a lot of goals to celebrate on Saturday night.
It was already clear that Bayern could not win the championship this weekend before the match in Munich even started as Dortmund had won the afternoon match with VFB Stuttgart 2-1 to keep the distance to Bayern at 20 points in case of a victory against HSV. Hamburg however had no plans at all to play football in Allianz Arena and showed one of the worst performances in the club´s 50 year long history in Bundesliga. Bayern simply overrun them scoring astonishing nine times in the progress. Two goals at the end of the match for HSV failed to prettify the score board as it said 9-2 – HSV´s highest and probably most shameful loss in Bundesliga history.
Both Dortmund and Bayern, being separated as position one and two by breath taking 20 points, are now heading into very important weeks as the quarterfinals in UEFA Champions League are lying ahead. Bayern will meet Juventus Turin on Tuesday while Dortmund will face Malaga on Wednesday. Marcel Schmelzer broke his nose in the match with Stuttgart and might have to miss the game against Malaga.
Leverkusen, Frankfurt and Schalke winning
Right behind Dortmund and Bayern several teams won their games on matchday 27. Bayer Leverkusen beat Fortuna Duesseldorf with 4-1, Schalke defeated TSG Hoffenheim with 3-0 and Eintracht Frankfurt turned things around against last placed Greuther Fuerth after being one being winning 3-2 in the end. Schalke and Frankfurt are even pointed at position four and five while Leverkusen kept the four point lead towards them.
VFL Wolfsburg and 1. FC Nuremberg showed a strong match on Sunday with beautiful goals on both sides. Wolfsburg were leading 2-0 at half time after two goals worth seeing from Diego and Olic but Nuremberg got back into the game after Simons´ beautiful long distance shot and Nilsson´s equalizer for the final score.
Last four teams all losing
The last four teams in chart Duesseldorf, Augsburg, Hoffenheim and Fuerth all lost their matches leaving the situation in relegation struggle as it was before except there are three points less to gain. Augsburg lost 0-2 against Hanover 96.
FSV Mainz 05 and Werder Bremen drew with 1-1 after Bremen´s equalizer in second half. Adam Szalai had scored the third fastest goal in Bundesliga history only 12.6 second into the game. The match between SC Freiburg and Borussia Moenchengladbach ended 2-0 for Freiburg.
