Cologne relegates, Berlin faces Duesseldorf
1. FC Cologne will have to play in second German Bundesliga next season as they lost the last match of the season with 1-4 against Bayern Munich. Berlin won 3-1 against Hoffenheim and is going to fight for staying up against Fortuna Duesseldorf on 10th and 15th of May. Hanover secured the last remaining place for Europa League.
After 1. FC Kaiserslautern 1. FC Cologne is the second team in German Bundesliga which will have to play in second League next campaign. Cologne lost 1-4 against Bayern while Berlin defeated Hoffenheim with 3-1 on last matchday of German Bundesliga season 2011/2012. Berlin is going to fight with Fortuna Duesseldorf for staying up on 10th and 15th of May.
Hanover 96 meanwhile secured the last remaining place for Europa League by defeating Kaiserslautern with 2-1. Hanover will play in Europa League next season alongside Bayer 04 Leverkusen and VFB Stuttgart.
Borussia Dortmund won the last match of the campaign 4-0 against SC Freiburg and is now unbeaten in 28 Bundesliga games straight. With 81 points BVB is the best champion in the history of German Bundesliga.
Next season Dortmund will play in Champions League alongside FC Bayern Munich and Schalke 04. Borussia Moenchengladbach will have to play the qualification for CL.
