Crunch encounters in Bundesliga

01.12.2011 19:24

On matchday 15 the top four teams of German Bundesliga encounter each other again. Only two weeks after Dortmund´s victory in Munich and Gladbach´s stunning performance against Bremen (5-0) the top four face off again. The matches Dortmund-Gladbach and Munich-Bremen will both take place on Saturday at 03:30 pm.

Bayern-Bosses cannot be happy with the performance over the last weeks.

Matchday 15 of German Bundesliga will be the day of the crunch encounters. First placed Borussia Dortmund will face Borussia Moenchengladbach while Bayern Munich is playing against Werder Bremen.

Dortmund and Gladbach are number one and two in chart only separated by the goal difference. Dortmund is unbeaten in eight games straight, winning seven of them. The last two victories were in Munich and against Schalke 04. Gladbach have been playing very well too as they crushed Bremen with 5-0 on matchday 13 and won 3-0 against Cologne last week.

Gladbach is also unbeaten on home turf for ten games straight. On Saturday at 03:30 pm we will see if BVB can end that record.

At the same time Munich, the team that dropped last week to third place, will face off with Werder Bremen. Germany´s record title holder has been on a tough road lately as they lost three out of the last five. No team lost more games in that period.

Historical Munich do not have a worse record against any other team in Germany than Bremen with 26 losses.

More games on Saturday will be: SC Freiburg against Hanover 96, 1. FC Kaiserslautern against Hertha BSC Berlin, VFL Wolfsburg against Mainz 05 and VFB Stuttgart against FC Cologne.

Already on Friday night Bayer 04 Leverkusen will face TSG Hoffenheim. Bayer is unbeaten in four straight games while Hoffenheim have not won in four and have lost the last four consecutive matches on foreign territory.

The encounters of HSV and Nuremberg as well as Schalke and Augsburg round up matchday 15.
