Difficult tasks for Dortmund and Bayern in Champions League
Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich are looking forward to quite the difficult challenges to master in quarterfinals of Champions League. The draw on Thursday (Dec 20th) saw Dortmund set to play against Shakhtar Donezk while Bayern will meet FC Arsenal. Schalke 04 got a little easier task with Galatasaray Istanbul. All matches of Champions League and Europa League will be listed below the text.
Steve McManaman drew Dortmund to play against Donezk in the round of the last 16.
Borussia Dortmund and Shakhtar Donezk have been the two most surprising teams of Champions League group phase as they both surpassed strong groups, Dortmund even unbeaten and as first in the strongest group of the draw. Now both teams will go head to head in the round of the last 16 and it will definitely be a strong challenge for Dortmund.
FC Bayern Munich´s task with beating FC Arsenal will not be easier at all. The team with two fellow German national players Lukas Podolski and Per Mertesacker will do everything to end Bayern´s rerun for the final.
