Dortmund receive Bremen, Gladbach encounter Leverkusen
Borussia Dortmund is looking to keep Bayern in distance as Bremen is heading to Signal-Iduna-Park on Saturday. FCB will be playing in Berlin, a rather easy task on paper. Bayer 04 Leverkusen is receiving Gladbach.
If Borussia Dortmund will not lose against Werder Bremen on Saturday afternoon, they would be unbeaten in 20 games straight. Last week the lead towards FC Bayern Munich shrank by two points as BVB only drew in Augsburg.
Bayern on the other hand with playing in Berlin on Saturday night has a rather easy task on paper, but Otto Rehagel´s team needs some points to fight relegation. FC Bayern has scored 14 times in the last two matches against Hoffenheim in Bundesliga and Basel in Champions League.
Third placed Gladbach struggled over the last couple of weeks and Bayer Leverkusen will not make things easier for them. They lead towards forth placed Schalke already shrank to one point and fifth placed Leverkusen could come closer by winning the six-pointer.
Hamburger SV will play against second to last placed SC Freiburg on Saturday afternoon. HSV only gained one point over the last four games. Current 14th place cannot be enough for Hamburg´s ambitions.
More games on Saturday will be the encounters of Augsburg and Mainz 05 as well as the match between Nuremberg and Wolfsburg. Mainz´ forward Mohammed Zidan is looking to score in the seventh game straight.
On Sunday afternoon Schalke might have the chance to surpass Gladbach as number three in chart by defeating last placed 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
Last game of this matchday will be Hanover 96 against 1. FC Cologne. The guests will have to substitute Lukas Podolski who was sent off the field last week with a red card – a clear mistake by the referee as he was only trying to free himself from Levan Keobiashvilli´s grip.
