Dortmund takes lead from Munich
Current champion Borussia Dortmund was the only one of the leading four being able to win on matchday 20 in German Bundesliga. Bayern, Schalke and Gladbach all did not manage to overcome draws in their matchups. BVB is leading the pack with 43 points followed by Bayern and Schalke with 41 each.
Borussia Dortmund had to play first this weekend as they had the Friday night match against Nuremberg. Sebastian Kehl and substituted Lucas Barrios scored for Dortmund and secured the 2-0 victory.
Schalke and Gladbach did not manage to achieve more than draws in their matches as Gladbach´s game against Wolfsburg ended in a goalless remis while Schalke and Mainz ended up chopping the points too. End result was 1-1.
Bayern had to play the Saturday night match in Hamburg. Thorsten Fink´s HSV was highly motivated and Jacopo Sala scored the early lead with a beautiful volley shot. Substituted Ivica Olic in Minute 71 equalized to 1-1. Bayern is now two points shy of Dortmund on place 2 in chart.
Hanover 96 was able to win against promoted Berlin on their home grounds. Mohammed Abdellaoue scored the 1-0 in Minute 68.
The games between Hoffenheim and Augsburg as well as Bayer 04 Leverkusen and VFB Stuttgart both ended up in 2-2 draws. The encounter of SC Freiburg and Werder Bremen on Sunday also ended in 2-2.
Kaiserslautern lost the last game of the matchday with 0-1 on home turf against Cologne. Odise Roshi scored the 1-0 in Minute 72.
