Dortmund´s chances improving
Borussia Dortmund had a lot of pressure on their side heading into matchday five of UEFA Champions League. They not only had to win against SSC Napoli to stay in the competition, they had to do so with at least two goals advantage. The well-earned 3:1-victory enabled them to surpass their Italian competitor in chart and improve their chances of getting through to the round of last 16. On last matchday they will have to achieve at least the same result as Napoli against Arsenal. FC Schalke 04 will have to win on last matchday as they only drew against Steaua Bukarest and now have to beat Basel on last matchday to become second in their group. FC Bayern Munich set a new record by beating CSKA Moskva as it was their 10th win in a row in UEFA Champions League. The victory also put them in a very good spot for winning the group as they only have to avoid a high defeat on last matchday against Manchester City. Bayer 04 Leverkusen on the other hand will need help to survive group stage. As they have been crushed by Manchester United with 0:5 they have to win their last match in San Sebastian while Donezk shall not win against ManU. All results of matchday five are listed below.
