FC Bayern lead with nine points for winter break
FC Bayern Munich lead the pack in Germany´s Bundesliga with nine points heading into winter break. Bayern drew against Gladbach with 1-1 while hunters Leverkusen, Frankfurt and Dortmund won their matches. In DFB Pokal Leverkusen were defeated by Wolfsburg while Dortmund and Bayern got through to next round where both teams will go head to head in renewed last year´s final. All four quarter finals of DFB Pokal are listed below the text.

For a lot of experts FC Bayern Munich are already designated champions in this season´s Bundesliga. Germany´s record title holder leads Bayer 04 Leverkusen with nine and Borussia Dortmund with twelve points heading into this year´s winter break. Last league match of 2012 ended 1-1 for FC Bayern against Gladbach while Dortmund defeated TSG 1899 Hoffenheim with 3-1 and Bayer 04 Leverkusen beat Hamburger SV with 3-0.
Dortmund and FC Bayern will also stay in DFB Pokal for the winter as they both won their matches. FCB defeated FC Augsburg with 2-0 despite being one man less for almost one half as Franck Ribery saw the red card after attacking his opponent with the fist. Dortmund crushed Hanover 96 with 5-1 leaving no doubt who was in charge in Signal-Iduna-Park. The quarter finals however will be last station for one of the two top German teams as they will go head to head in late February.
Wolfsburg staying in cup, Schuster mostly safe
VFL Wolfsburg will also stay in DFB Pokal as they defeated Bayer 04 Leverkusen with 2-1. Lorenz-Guenther Koestner who tool over the team after Felix Magath was fired a couple of weeks ago lead it to new strength celebrating his success with this last victory. Most certainly Bernd Schuster will take over for Kostner from here on as several media reported just before the holidays.
More league games were the defeat of Hanover with 1-2 against Duesseldorf. Fortuna surprisingly lost their cup match against third league team Kickers Offenbach under the week. Eintracht Frankfurt defeated VFL Wolfsburg on last matchday of the season with 2-0 while SC Freiburg beat Schalke 04 with 3-1. Freiburg also succeeded in cup by winning 1-0 against Karlsruhe but Schalke got kicked out of the competition by Mainz 05 with 2-1. Mainz had been defeating Stuttgart in league with 3-1 before. SV Werder Bremen and Nuremberg as well as Greuther Fuerth and FC Augsburg both drew with 1-1.
DFB Pokal quarterfinals on Feb 27th
The match of the matches in Germany, Bayern against Dortmund, last year´s DFB Pokal final will this time already take place in the round of the last eight. All four matches are listed below:
