The FC Bayern Munich won the UEFA Champions League 2012/2013. The Final at Wembley with the two top German teams Bayern and Borussia Dortmund going head to head saw a strong BVB dominating the first 20 to 30 minutes of the match with a strong and very offensive style of play. The failed to benefit from their dominance however and Bayern more and more got a grip on the game with Arjen Robben having several good opportunities that were all saved by a strong Roman Weidenfeller in Dortmund´s goal.

After the break Bayern´s dominance continued to grow leading to their leading goal about 60 minutes into the game. Arjen Robben´s pass was put in the box by Mario Mandzukic. Just minutes later Dante fouled Marco Reus resulting in a penalty kick for BVB. Ilkay Guendogan equalized the score for his team.

Bayern continued to have more of the match and put more effort in scoring the second goal which they finally did just two minutes before the end when Ribery brilliantly assisted Robben who let Weidenfeller no chance from short distance to score the winning goal in an overall very strong match. It was the second Champions League title for FC Bayern Munich after winning in 2001 against FC Valencia.
