First crises in Bundesliga
It will only be matchday three in German Bundesliga, but some teams are already in deep trouble. Hamburger SV will have to make up for the blamable 1-5 against Hoffenheim last week while VFB Stuttgart and Schalke 04 have zero and one point in the league and played rather disastrous in the qualifying round for Europa and Champions League under the week.
Only two matchdays into league play some teams are already in their first crises of the season. Hamburger SV for example have quite some problems on and off the pitch as two players were suspended for this week´s match in Berlin on late Saturday as they travelled to Mallorca after getting crushed 1-5 against Hoffenheim last matchday.
Schalke 04 have only gathered one point out of two league matches and drew 1-1 against Greek team Saloniki under the week in a home game for Champions League qualification – not the best position to be in heading for second leg next week. On Saturday they will face Hanover 96 in Bundesliga.
Stuttgart disastrous in EL qualifier
VFB Stuttgart played even worse when they tried to best Croatian rival for Europa League qualification HNK Rijeka. In Rijeka the team of Bruno Labbadia lost 1-2 and are struggling for participation in Europa League this season. This weekend they will meet FC Augsburg on late Sunday – a team that has not gained a single point yet either.
Meanwhile Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich will face Werder Bremen and 1. FC Nuremberg on late Friday and Saturday afternoon. More games will take place between Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Borussia Moenchengladbach, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and SC Freiburg as well as between FSV Mainz 05 and VFL Wolfsburg. On Sunday Eintracht Braunschweig will receive the other Eintracht from Frankfurt. The team of Armin Veh beat their opponent on foreign grounds with 2-0 to almost secure participation in Europa League already.
