Germany destroy Brazil
This semi-final of FIFA World Cup 2014 will probably never be forgotten. Germany just crushed Brazil from the start off and destroyed all their hopes of a title on home grounds. When all was set and done the score board showed 7:1 for the Germans and a whole country was in shock. On Sunday Germany will face Argentina or the Netherlands.
Brazil´s hopes of winning the FIFA World Cup in their home country have come to a devastating end on Tuesday night as Germany just ran them over and destroyed the Selecao with 7:1. It was not only the highest loss for Brazil ever, but also the highest one in a World Cup semi-final. German striker Miroslav Klose scored the 2:0 to secure being the only record scorer in World Cup history with 16 goals.
Mueller was the first German to score after a corner kick by Kroos just 11 minutes into the game. For about the first 20 minutes it looked like a game on an eye-to-eye level but then Brazil just broke in and Germany took advantage of it. In just six minutes between minute 23 and 29 they scored four more goals to set the score at 5:0 shocking a whole country and leaving no doubt of who would be the winner in the end.
After the break Andre Schuerrle was sent on the field for Germany and scored two more goals to make it 7:0 finishing off Brazil that was already down on the ground. The late goal in overtime of the host of this tournament did not really change much and so Germany will meet the winner of the match between Argentina and the Netherlands on Sunday night for the title while Brazil will try and show a better performance during the match for third place on Saturday.
