Germany meeting Algeria

German national team secured first place in their group G after beating USA with 1:0. Next round opponent of Joachim Loew´s team will be Algeria as they drew with Russia to secure their ticket. The United States team also qualified for the round of the last 16 with their loss as Portugal beat Ghana 2:1. USA´s next opponent will be Belgium.

Mueller´s goal was enough in a very weak match of Germany and the USA.

Germany have won their group with Portugal, USA and Ghana and will have to play Algeria in the next round of FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil. The last match of group stage saw German national team beat USA 1:0 in what was a very weak match of the two. Mueller´s goal in second half was enough to secure the German first place. Algeria surprisingly survived group stage as a draw with Russia was enough for them to follow Belgium in group H.

United States also qualified for the round of the last 16 by losing as Portugal beat Ghana 2:1. Both, Portugal and USA, have four points with the better goal difference on US side. The team of Juergen Klinsmann will meet Belgium there as they won their last match with South Korea 1:0 and secured first place.
