Germany have beaten all three opponents in group B and proceed to the quarterfinals. In the latest match they defeated Denmark with 2-1 thanks to a late goal of Lars Bender who was in the staring eleven for Jerome Boateng. Boateng was not allowed to play due to his second yellow card.

Portugal beat Nederland 2-1 at the same time which sends the “Oranje” home with no point won in three matches. Denmark have to head home too as Portugal and Germany proceed in group B. Germany will face Greece on Friday as the team around Karagounis surprisingly beat Russia with 1-0 and ended the Russian ambitions in this tournament. Portugal will have to play Czech Republic as they put an end to Poland´s championship by winning 1-0.

Sweden lost 2-3 against England on the second matchday of Group D which ended their tournament quiet early. Ukraine lost 0-2 in a match against France that had to be rescheduled one hour later due to very bad weather conditions. Ukraine have to win the last match against England to stay in the competition.

Spain and Croatia will fight for the victory in group C tonight as both teams have four points so far. Italy will play against the already eliminated Irish and need to win to proceed to the quarterfinals. If Spain and Croatia end up drawing and Italy wins all three of them would have five points as well as having drawn against each other. The results of the matches might decide who will proceed as well as complicated UEFA rules.
