Germany with starting victory in World Cup qualification

German national football team won the first match on their way to qualify for World Cup 2014 in Brazil. Joachim Loew´s team defeated Faroe Islands as expected with 3-0. The other results of the European part of the qualifiers are listed below the text.


Goetze and Oezil scored for Germany.

Germany have won the first qualifier on their way to World Cup 2014 in Brazil. In a dominated match as widely expected in cause of Faroe Island status as the clear underdog German national team won 3-0.

The result could have been much higher though as Germany missed out on several good opportunities especially in first half. Mario Goetze scored the leading goal about half an hour into the game and two goals of Mesut Oezil sealed the deal in second half.

Next opponent of Germany in World Cup qualifiers will be Austria on Tuesday (September 11th, 8 30 pm) in Vienna. The other results of the European part of the qualifiers are listed below:
