Gladbach face Frankfurt, Dortmund meet Hanover

After being crushed with 0-5 against Dortmund last week Gladbach need to get back some momentum. This week´s opponent will be most surprising team of the season Eintracht Frankfurt. Dortmund will encounter with Hanover also on Sunday, FC Bayern will play against Hoffenheim on Saturday while Schalke meet Wolfsburg.

Gladbach´s players were quite dissapointed after the loss against Istanbul on home turf.

Borussia Moenchengladbach got seriously demolished by German champion Borussia Dortmund last week. BVB defeated them with 5-0 thanks to a brilliantly playing Marco Reus. Gladbach will have to make up for the painful loss this week but the opponent on Sunday will be the surprise team of the season: Eintracht Frankfurt.

The promoted team is unbeaten and has only drawn against Dortmund winning every other match and being second in chart only two points shy of Bayern Munich. Gladbach played in Europa League on Thursday. They were unable to get some confidence back as they lost the home game against Fenerbahce Istanbul with 2-4 despite scoring the early lead.

Borussia Dortmund were seconds away from a sensational victory in Manchester against City on Wednesday but got the late equalizer in cause of an at least very debatable penalty in last second. The match had been a very strong one and dominated by BVB so it might boost their confidence heading into the match with Hanover on late Sunday. Hanover played very good over the last matches but lost against Hamburg last week with 1-0 despite being the more active team.

In Europa League on Thursday they showed some spirit by turning the match against Levante around despite being one men less for about 80 minutes. Haggui was sent off in minute ten and the penalty resulting from his professional foul in the box put Levante in the lead. Huszti and Ya Konan scored to let the match end 2-1 for Hanover.

Hamburg are on a little role having won two out of the last three and crawling upwards in chart pretty fast. They will encounter with promoted Greuther Fuerth that lost against Leverkusen last week. Fuerth are on the second to last position.

FC Bayern Munich will encounter with TSG Hoffenheim. Markus Babbel´s team was on the upstream as well over the last couple of matchdays but the shocking accident of Hoffenheim´s Vukcevic who is still in danger of losing his life overshadowed that good development. Munich will have to make up for the loss against Belarus´ BATE Borisov under the week.

Schalke 04 will meet VFL Wolfsburg on Saturday. It will be the return of Felix Magath who used to coach S04. VFL Wolfsburg had a very weak start to the season and will need to win as they are currently on position 16. Schalke is on four having eleven points as well as BVB.

More games on Saturday will be the matches between SC Freiburg and 1. FC Nuremberg as well as the encounter of Mainz 05 and still unbeaten Fortuna Duesseldorf. Bremen will have to face FC Augsburg on Friday night.

VFB Stuttgart and Bayer Leverkusen will encounter on early Sunday. Both teams have played in Europa League on Thursday. Bayer were able to win their match in Trondheim by Kießling´s only goal that was clearly shot out of an offside position. VFB won the first match in Bundesliga last week but their joy was ended roughly by Norwegian champion Molde FK that beat Stuttgart 2-0.
