HSV looking to surprise Bayern
Thorsten Fink´s Hamburger SV is facing the match against leading Bayern this weekend. HSV had gained some confidence last week by winning in Berlin and is now looking to make this a winning streak. Dortmund, Schalke and Gladbach are playing against Nuremberg, Mainz 05 and Wolfsburg.
Tension in German Bundesliga is rising as four teams fight it out for the first couple of positions in chart. Bayern, Dortmund, Schalke and Gladbach are as close together as it gets. Current leading team – only by goal difference – Bayern will face Hamburger SV on late Saturday.
HSV has won last week against Berlin and is looking to surprise Bayern on home turf. Since Campaign 05/06 Bayern has a negative record only against HSV. They have only on four out of the last 13 matches.
Current champion Dortmund will already be playing on late Friday. BVB will have to encounter Nuremberg on their home ground. Dortmund is unbeaten in 13 games straight now – the best record in Bundesliga at the moment.
Schalke 04 will face Mainz 05 on Saturday. With a possible victory Schalke could draw with earlier record of winning six games in a row. For Mainz there is no team in Bundesliga they have been losing more often against than S04.
Most surprising team of the season Gladbach will try to keep in touch with the leading three by winning in Wolfsburg. Many hopes are lying on Marco Reus who´s 12 goals did a major part in Gladbach´s astonishing campaign.
More games on Saturday will be: Hoffenheim against Augsburg, Berlin against Hanover 96 and the game between Leverkusen and Stuttgart. For Stuttgart´s coach Bruno Labbadia this will be the chance to finally win against his former club.
On Sunday the matches between SC Freiburg and Werder Bremen as well as 1. FC Kaiserslauern and 1. FC Cologne will round up matchday 20.
