HSV stays in Bundesliga
The German traditional club Hamburger SV, who never relegated in its long history, will stay in Bundesliga. After two not so strong matches of HSV that ended 0:0 in Hamburg and 1:1 in Fuerth the team of Mirko Slomka was lucky enough to win the relegation matches against Greuther Fuerth also the second league club was the better team overall.

Pierre-Michelle Lasogga only played on a loan in Hamburg and will probably not play there next season despite being one of the most valueable players for Hamburg this year.
Supporters of Hamburger SV were seemingly relieved after the 1:1 in Fuerth on Sunday. After a weak performance in first leg of relegation matches against Greuther Fuerth, HSV played a good first half in second leg and were in the lead 1:0 at half time thanks to Pierre-Michelle Lasogga´s goal.
After the break HSV failed to continue their game and Greuther Fuerth took over. The second league team fought for every ball and was rewarded with the equalizer about 30 minutes before the end. A very intense phase of the match followed where it was mostly HSV-Keeper Jaroslav Drobny´s accomplishment that Fuerth did not score again. In the end the lucky winner of the relegation matches was HSV and Fuerth will have to play in second league again next season.
They will be joined there by SV Darmstadt as they beat Arminia Bielefeld 4:2 in overtime after the 1:3 loss at home days before to secure their ticket for second league next year while Bielefeld will relegate to third league.
