HSV´s Fink wants first victory in Bundesliga, tough match ahead
New HSV head coach Thorsten Fink has not managed to win a Bundesliga game with his new club yet. This weekend they will encounter Bayer 04 Leverkusen – not an easy task at all. Another strong matchup will be the Sunday game between Hanover 96 and Schalke 04.
After two matches as new head coach of Hamburger SV Thorsten Fink is still looking for his first three points score in Bundesliga. On Saturday night they will have to play Bayer 04 Leverkusen. For the first time since matchday 2 HSV have left the last three places in chart and they have not lost for three games straight.
Bayer however is unbeaten for four games against HSV and hopes to continue the “Ballack-streak”. With Michael Ballack as captain they have not lost a single game and won three out of four.
On Sunday Schalke 04 will try to keep in touch with first placed FC Bayern Munich. Germany´s record title holder is playing promoted Augsburg in Allianz Arena and is likely to win. Schalke´s opponent Hanover 96 will not be an easy task however.
96 have turned around the Europe League game on Thursday against Kopenhagen and will try to continue the good effort on Sunday. With a win against Schalke Hanover could move up in chart to one of the first six places.
On Friday night VFB Stuttgart will play against Mainz 05. Stuttgart only lost one out of the last six while Mainz is on a nine game dry period.
Borussia Dortmund will encounter VFL Wolfsburg. Dortmund are unbeaten for five games and have won four of them.
Another game on Saturday will be the matchup of Werder Bremen and 1. FC Cologne. Bremen´s hopes are lying on star forward Claudio Pizarro. He was directly involved in eleven of the last twelve goals Bremen scored.
The pendant on Cologne´s side is Lukas Podolski. The German national player has eight goals and three assist already this campaign. Cologne scored 18 times overall.
More games on Saturday will be: 1. FC Nürnberg against SC Freiburg, TSG Hoffenheim against 1. FC Kaiserslautern and Hertha BSC Berlin against Borussia Moenchengladbach.
