Leverkusen surpassing Dortmund, league´s top match ahead
Borussia Dortmund lost position two in chart heading into this weekend´s headliner against FC Bayern Munich. Bayer Leverkusen crushed Bremen to surpass Frankfurt, Schalke and BVB while FCB beat Freiburg. Frankfurt and Schalke lost their matches with 1-3 against Mainz and Hamburg respectively.
Simon Rolfes scored one of the four goals for Bayer against Bremen.
Borussia Dortmund just got position two last matchday but already lost it only drawing the match against Duesseldorf under the week. A late equalizer put them eleven points behind FC Bayern again and on position three as Leverkusen crushed Bremen surpassing Schalke, Frankfurt and Dortmund.
Schalke and Frankfurt lost their matches against Hamburger SV and Mainz 05 each with 1-3 while FC Bayern beat SC Freiburg with 2-0. On Saturday night the match of the probably two best German teams at the moment will take place when Borussia Dortmund will travel to Allianz Arena in Munich to fight FC Bayern.
Leverkusen will have to play against 1. FC Nuremberg on Saturday, Schalke will meet Borussia Moenchengladbach and Frankfurt will face Fortuna Duesseldorf. Gladbach just beat Wolfsburg with 2-0 and Nuremberg defeated Hoffenheim with 4-2.
Hamburg facing Wolfsburg on Sunday
Mainz 05 will meet Hanover 96, that have defeated Greuther Fuerth with 2-0 under the week. Fuerth will have to play against Stuttgart. VFB just beat FC Augsburg with 2-1 after being one behind. Also on Sunday the match between Werder Bremen and Hoffenheim will take place on 3:30 pm.
