Long time no see
The derby between Hanover 96 and Eintracht Braunschweig is full of tradition an animosity the two supporters bear for each other. 37 years they had to wait for the two clubs to meet again in German Bundesliga and on Friday night the wait will be over. The Saturday will host the two top teams Dortmund and Bayern meet with Wolfsburg and FC Augsburg in another derby. The matches between Schalke and Bremen as well as between Leverkusen and Hamburg also have a long history and the derby between Freiburg and Stuttgart on late Sunday will round up matchday 12.

The match between Hanover and Eintracht will take place for the first time since 1976 in Bundesliga.
The supporters of the two Lower Saxony clubs Hanover 96 and Eintracht Braunschweig had to wait 37 years for the two teams to meet again in Bundesliga. Both devotees are full of animosity for the other side which lead to a pig wearing a 96 scarf was set out in Hanover under the weak and several grave crosses with the letters of Braunschweig were found in their city. On Friday night both teams will have the chance to contribute their part of a hopefully spectacular derby they have all been waiting for.
The two best German teams Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern Munich will play on Saturday. FC Bayern will meet FC Augsburg in a derby without as much tradition as the one in Lower Saxony. They will have the chance to stay unbeaten for the 37th match straight setting a new record. Borussia Dortmund will face VfL Wolfsburg. The team of Dieter Haeckingen recently improved and made its way up to position five in chart.
Traditional matches
Two more games on Saturday will take place between teams with a long history in Bundesliga although three of the four recently failed to meet their supporters high hopes in them. FC Schalke 04 against SV Werder Bremen and Bayer 04 Leverkusen against Hamburger SV used to be matches between the league´s supreme teams while only Leverkusen matches that description at the moment.
The games between TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and Hertha BSC Berlin as well as between Borussia Moenchengladbach and 1. FC Nuremberg will conclude the Saturday. On Sunday Mainz 05 will receive Eintracht Frankfurt before the southern derby between SC Freiburg and VfB Stuttgart will round up matchday 12.
