Munich back on track

FC Bayern Munich extended their lead in German Bundesliga after crushing 1. FC Nuremberg with 4-0. Last year´s champion Borussia Dortmund did not manage to achieve more than a draw in Stuttgart and is now on third rank in chart as rival Schalke 04 surpassed BVB after winning 3-1 in Hoffenheim.


Bayern´s players had now problem defeating Nuremberg.

FC Bayern Munich is back on track in German Bundesliga and extended their lead. German record title holder crushed 1. FC Nuremberg in Munich´s Allianz Arena with 4-0. After the fifth home game win in a row FCB has now a four-points lead to second placed Schalke 04.

Schalke have won their match against TSG Hoffenheim with 3-1 thanks to their star forwards Klaas-Jan Hunterlaar and Raul. Raul scored the 1-0 lead and Hunterlaar hit the goal twice after the temporally equalizer of Hoffenheim´s Vedad Ibisevic.

Because Borussia Dortmund was unable to score the winning goal in Stuttgart and ended up chopping the points Schalke surpassed their rival in chart. Stuttgart´s Serdar Tasci scored the lead and Lukas Piszczek equalized just before the break. Dortmund was the better team in second half and had several opportunities but failed to score.

Borussia Moenchengladbach won their home game against Hanover 96, Werder Bremen defeated Mainz 05 on Saturday night with 3-1 on Mainz´s home turf and Bayer 04 Leverkusen had won the Friday night match against SC Freiburg. A very early lead by Michael Ballack was enough for Leverkusen.

Recently promoted Hertha BSC Berlin defeated Wolfsburg in a big fight. Raffael´s goal in minute 27 was equalized by Mario Mandzukic but Lewan Kobiaschwili shot Berlin back in front just before the break. Wolfsburg´s Marcel Schaefer equalized again in minute 84. But just the next attempt of Berlin was enough to secure the 3-2-win.

1. FC Cologne had no problems defeating the second promoted team Augsburg on Sunday afternoon. Two goals of Lukas Podolski helped Cologne winning 3-0.

HSV meanwhile are still looking for their first win under new head coach Thorsten Fink. HSV defender Slobodan Rajkovic saw the red card only after 22 minutes after attacking Christian Tiffert with his elbow. Kaiserslautern scored the lead afterwards but with a fighting performance HSV managed to get back into the game and equalized the match (1-1).
