Munich´s winning streak comes to an end
FC Bayern Munich´s dominating role in German Bundesliga hit a bump in the road on match day 8. Munich did not manage to score against Hoffenheim and ended up chopping the points. FCB extended their lead in chart however as Bremen and Moenchengladbach failed to take advantage of the remis.
Coach Holger Stanislawski´s TSG Hoffenheim fighted their way into a draw against FC Bayern Munich. German record title holder did not manage to score and the game ended in a goalless remis. This did not end into a change in the chart however because Werder Bremen and Borussia Moenchengladbach failed to take advantage of the draw.
Bremen lost 3-2 to Hanover 96 in a hard fight. Mohammed Abdellaoue scored three times and secured the win. Moenchengladbach lost in Freiburg with 0-1. FC Bayern Munich is now leading with three points, one point more then before.
Current champion Borussia Dortmund managed to win the first two consecutive games this campaign by defeating promoted FC Augsburg with 4-0. Often criticized for needing too many attempts for scoring Robert Lewandowski shot three goals and young super talent Mario Goetze scored the fourth goal with a nice chip.
Bayer Leverkusen ended their two games dry period in Bundesliga by defeating VFL Woflsburg wih 3-1. Striker Eren Derdiyok scored and astonishing goal to secure the lead for Leverkusen again. The falling overhead kick has good chances to be Germany´s goal of the year.
On Friday night VFB Stuttgart won 2-0 in Kaiserslautern. German national striker Cacao scored the 1-0 lead and Khalid Boulahrouz delivered the knock out at the end of second half.
Recently promoted Hertha BSC Berlin stopped FC Cologne´s winning streak with a 3-0 on home turf.
Nuremberg and Mainz ended up chopping the points in an aggressive match. 3-3 was the end score after Nuremberg took an early 2-0 lead.
FC Schalke 04 defeated Hamburger SV in match day 8´s last game on Sunday night. Klaas Jan Huntelaar scored twice to secure the 2-1 win on HSV´s home grounds. Hamburg made a good game however but played unfortunate. They are still on last place in chart.
