New HSV coach with Bayern ahead

Hamburger SV fired coach Mirko Slomka just three matchdays into the new season on Monday night. New head coach will be Josef Zinnbauer who recently trained the U23 team of HSV. His first opponent will be FC Bayern Munich on Saturday afternoon. Borussia Dortmund meanwhile will meet Mainz 05 in the night match on Saturday while first placed Leverkusen will guest in Wolfsburg on Sunday afternoon.

Josef Zinnbauer is the new head coach in Hamburg.

Josef Zinnbauer started his job as coach of Hamburg´s U23 team this summer and after eight wins in eight matches while the Bundesliga team did not even score a goal in three matches the club made a surprising decision. Mirko Slomka was fired and Zinnbauer will train the league squad from now on. His first opponent on Saturday will be FC Bayern Munich. The recent history of both clubs cannot give too much hope to HSV supporters – the crushing 2:9 loss two years ago is still looming in the back of their heads.

Borussia Dortmund meanwhile will face 1. FSV Mainz 05 on Saturday night for this weekend´s headliner. Mainz have lost all last six matches against Dortmund. BVB have most recently played a very strong match against Arsenal in Champions League but the list of injured players is getting longer and longer as Subotic and Kehl both got minor injuries during the match on Tuesday.

Seven teams still to win

Seven teams of German Bundesliga still have not won a match so far: Werder Bremen on eleventh place as well as the last six in chart: VfL Wolfsburg, SC Freiburg, Hertha BSC Berlin, FC Schalke 04, VfB Stuttgart and Hamburger SV. Wolfsburg got crushed by Everton during the week in Europa League and now will receive first placed Bayer 04 Leverkusen.

Bremen will play against Augsburg on Saturday, SC Freiburg and Berlin will kick off the action on Friday night and Eintracht Frankfurt will be guest at FC Schalke 04. VfB Stuttgart meanwhile will play a home game against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim and recently promoted SC Paderborn will meet fourth placed Hanover 96. The closing of matchday four will be the game between 1. FC Cologne and Borussia Moenchengladbach.
