Overall good matchday for German teams

The third matchday of UEFA Champions League was a good one for three of the four German competitors. Bayern, Dortmund and Leverkusen all won their matches and put themselves in good positions in their groups with nine and six points respectively. FC Bayern crushed Victoria Pilzen 5:0, Leverkusen also won the match against Donezk quite clearly with 4:0 and Borussia Dortmund had a little luck on their side against FC Arsenal in London with Lewandowski scoring the late 2:1. Schalke lost 0:3 against Chelsea but nevertheless have still all the chances on their side with six points out of the first two matches already. All results of matchday three are listed below.


Robert Lewandowski secured the second win in group stage for BVB with his late winning goal against FC Arsenal.
