Four matchdays into the new season recently promoted surprisingly SC Paderborn lead the pack in German Bundesliga and are followed by Mainz and Hoffenheim. Paderborn will have trouble to keep their position as they will meet Bayern during the week as matchday five will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The moment when Stoppelkampf hits the ball in 84 meters distance of Hanover´s empty goal and scores.

The chart has no real significance just four games in – but nevertheless is a quite peculiar one in German Bundesliga. Recently promoted SC Paderborn are leading the pack after winning 2:0 against Hanover 96. They are followed by Mainz and Hoffenheim with Bayern and Leverkusen sitting on fourth and fifth.

Paderborn were one in the lead just moments before the end before Moritz Stoppelkamp scored a 84 meter goal as keeper Zieler had not been in his box after a corner kick of Hanover. Now they have eight points, same as Mainz, Hoffenheim and FC Bayern Munich. Mainz 05 won 2:0 against Dortmund as BVB were unable to score, even missing a penalty while Mainz showed ice-coldness in front of Dortmund´s keeper Weidenfeller. Hoffenheim beat Stuttgart 2:0 putting them on last place in chart.

Stuttgart were surpassed by Hamburger SV as they showed a dedicated performance during their first match with the new head coach Josef Zinnbauer. Against harmless FC Bayern that had more of the ball but failed to create danger in their opponent´s box HSV had some opportunities and fought for a well-earned 0:0.

Wolfsburg crushing Leverkusen

VfL Wolfsburg were crushed under the week by Everton but on Sunday afternoon it was on them to crush an opponent. Against Bayer Leverkusen, that was weakened just minutes in as Donati was sent off the pitch with a red card and Rodriquez scored the 1:0 by penalty, VfL won 4:1.

More games of the weekend saw SC Freiburg and Hertha BSC Berlin drawing 2:2, the match between Schalke and Frankfurt ending with the same result. FC Augsburg meanwhile won 4:2 against Werder Bremen and 1. FC Cologne stay the only club with no goal against so far as they drew 0:0 against Borussia Moenchengladbach.

Matchday five on Tuesday and Wednesday

Bundesliga football will be back under the weak as matchday five will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday. FC Bayern Munich will receive currently firstplaced SC Paderborn, Hoffenheim and SC Freiburg will meet for a Duel in the south, Frankfurt and Mainz will go head to head and Schalke and Bremen will encounter. On Wednesday these matches will follow: Dortmund against Stuttgart, Leverkusen against Augsburg, Gladbach against Hamburg, Hanover against Cologne and Berlin against Wolfsburg.
