Schalke and Dortmund take profit as Munich loses

Borussia Moenchengladbach have defeated Bayen Munich with 3-1. The team around star forward Marco Reus is only one point behind FCB in chart. Dortmund and Schalke both won their first matches after the break and were able to tie the lead with Munich.

They were the most surprising team of Bundesliga´s first half this season and now they have defeated FC Bayern Munich for the second time this campaign: Borussia Moenchengladbach.
In an controlled but seeable football game Gladbach´s Reus scored the early lead after FCB´s keeper Manuel Neuer made an careless pass which Reus intercepted. Patrick Hermann scored goals 2 and 3 just before Bayern´s Bastian Schweinsteiger scored for the 3-1 end result.
Gladbach is now only one point behind Bayern on fourth place in chart. Borussia Dortmund played on Sunday against Hamburger SV on their home turf. BVB controlled the game from minute one and crushed an overchallenged HSV. End result was 5-1. Robert Lewandowksi scored twice as did his fellow national team mate “Kuba” and Kevin Großkreutz´s early lead rounded up the performance.
Dortmund is now on position two in chart only separated by goal difference from FCB in front of them and Schalke right behind them. S04 have won their game on Saturday against Stuttgart easily with 3-1. Joel Matip, Kyriakos Papadopoulos and Julian Draxler were successful for Schalke.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen won their Sunday night game against Mainz 05 with 3-2. With 29 points Leverkusen is on place 6 and are 8 points behind the leading trio.
More Games on Saturday were the goalless draws between Hoffenheim and Hanover as well as Kaiserslautern and Werder Bremen, Wolfsburg´s victory over Cologne, Freiburg´s defeat of Augsburg and Nuremberg´s 2-0 win over Hertha BSC Berlin.
