Schalke and Leverkusen in headliner
Schalke und Bayer 04 Leverkusen encounter each other in this weekend´s headliner. S04 are looking to surpass Gladbach while Bayer have to keep Bremen and Hanover in distance. Bayern Munich will receive Hanover and Dortmund have to play in Cologne on Sunday.
Schalke defeated Kaiserslautern with 4-1 last week.
Schalke 04 versus Bayer 04 Leverkusen will be the headliner of matchday 27 in German Bundesliga on Saturday night. Bayer will have to gain points in order to keep Bremen and Hanover in distance. S04 and Gladbach are on a close fight for third place in chart.
FC Bayern Munich will play Hanover 96 on Saturday afternoon. Dortmund´s lead is still five points and FCB seriously needs to win every match at the moment in order to keep the pressure on the current champion. FCB might be highly motivated after defeating Gladbach on Wednesday to qualify for German DFB-Pokal final.
BVB is going to play in Cologne on late Sunday. Dortmund have been Cologne´s worst enemies over the last couple of years. Since Juergen Klopp started his job in Dortmund all seven games against Cologne have been won by BVB. Dortmund will be highly motivated, too, as they have qualified for the DFB-Pokal final against Munich.
After Gladbach´s devastating loss against Munich under the week they will have to rearrange their motivation and get back on track in Bundesliga. On Saturday Hoffenheim will be guest in Gladbach. In Bundesliga they have not lost a single match on home turf in 16 games straight.
Werder Bremen against FC Augsburg, Mainz 05 against Hertha BSC Berlin and the relegation fight SC Freiburg against 1. FC Kaiserslautern will be the three games left on Saturday.
On Sunday VFB Stuttgart and Nuremberg will encounter each other and already on Friday night Hamburger SV will have to play in Wolfsburg. HSV is seriously in trouble after gaining only one point out of the last five matches. They have to fight relegation as they are only two points ahead of 16th place in chart.
