Schalke with big fight and one point
FC Schalke 04 have been able to save one point in the match with FC Bayern Munich on matchday two of Bundesliga. Borussia Dortmund secured their first win against Augsburg on Friday and Bayer 04 Leverkusen won their second match to become the only team with six points. Hamburger SV on the other hand showed a very weak performance and lost 0:3 on home grounds against recently promoted Paderborn.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen tops the chart after two matchdays in German Bundesliga season 2014/2015. After beating Hertha BSC Berlin 4:2 the team of Roger Schmidt is the only one to have six points. They had to fight back against a goal disadvantage twice during the game and gained a well-earned victory in the end.
FC Schalke 04 meanwhile managed to save one point in the match with FC Bayern Munich on Saturday night. The current champion was off to a great start, dominating the match and leading 1:0 after Robert Lewandowski´s first goal for FCB. Especially the latest new-arrival Xabi Alonso showed a strong performance but during the match Bayern more and more let the game slip off their hands and Schalke got one back to equalize for the 1:1 final result.
HSV with shameful loss
The Hamburger SV seems to be following his footsteps from last season early on already. After a more or less lucky 0:0 against 1. FC Cologne last week the team with the longest history in Bundesliga met with recently promoted SC Paderborn in what was their second Bundesliga game overall. However Paderborn was the by far better team and crushed HSV 3:0.
Borussia Dortmund already played on Friday night where they beat FC Augsburg 3:2 to secure their first points of the campaign. After being 3:0 in front just minutes before the end two blunders in the defense brought back the tension into the game but BVB managed to save their advantage for the rest of the time.
1. FC Cologne meanwhile won their first match after returning to Bundesliga as they beat VfB Stuttgart with 2:0. The match between SV Werder Bremen and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim ended 1:1, VfL Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt played 2:2 and the Sunday matches saw two goalless draws between 1. FSV Mainz 05 and Hanover 96 as well as SC Freiburg and Borussia Moenchengladbach.
