Seven of eight from Bundesliga

In German DFB Pokal seven of the remaining eight teams in quarterfinals are first-league clubs. Most favorites surpassed the round of the last 16 on Tuesday and Wednesday. Only FC Schalke lost against fellow Bundesliga team TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. Bayern and Dortmund won their matches seemingly easy while Leverkusen and Hamburg had their problems with SC Freiburg and 1. FC Cologne but also won in the end. Kaiserslautern and Frankfurt also qualified for the round of eight as did VfL Wolfsburg by beating FC Ingolstadt. Wolfsburg is sponsored by Volkswagen, Ingolstadt by Audi which made it a duel inside Europe´s biggest car manufacturer. All results are listed below.


Arjen Robben got injured badly during the match with Augsburg and will have to pause for six weeks.
