Shameful loss against Poland

The German national team has lost the second qualifier match for the UEFA EURO 2016 against Poland with 0:2. After Germany being too harmless at the offense play Poland only needed two opportunities to decide the match. It was the first loss in a duty match after 18 games of not losing, as well as the first loss on foreign grounds in European qualifiers since 1998. The match was followed by a 1:1 draw against Ireland on Tuesday which did not improve the situation for Germany in UEFA EURO 2016 qualifier group D.

Even the usually very strong playing Manuel Neuer (green) failed to convince as the first goal was partly his mistake.

Germany have lost the second match of qualifier rounds for UEFA EURO 2016. Against Poland the German national team lost 0:2 after being too harmless for most of the match. The current World Champion was the better team but failed to apply enough pressure. Coach Joachim Loew stated he saw a strong match of his team anyway and only criticized the missing goals. Poland on the other hand played very effectively as they only needed two chances for their two goals.

Loew wanted to see a strong reaction on the loss in the second match against Ireland on Tuesday, but his team failed to oblige as they only drew 1:1. Once again the impact of the offense play failed to convince as their only goal was a long-shot of Toni Kroos in minute 71. The Irish equalized in minute 94 to leave Germany with four points after three matches and only rank four in chart in group D where the best two teams will be directly qualified for UEFA EURO 2016.
