Strong games on fourth matchday
The fourth matchday in German Bundesliga will feature a couple of very good encounters. Schalke 04 will face FC Bayern, Dortmund will play Hamburger SV, Leverkusen meet Gladbach and Stuttgart will have to play against Bremen.
Seven teams in Bundesliga are still unbeaten at this stage of the season two of them have won every single match they played so far. FC Bayern and promoted Eintrach Frankfurt lead the pack with nine points but Hanover, Schalke, Dortmund, Nuremberg and also promoted Duesseldorf are close by with seven points each except Duesseldorf with five.
The game to watch on matchday four will be the classic encounter of FC Bayern Munich and Schalke 04. Both teams started pretty well into Champions League on Tuesday, Wednesday and will be looking to add to that on Saturday afternoon. S04 have lost four of the last five home games against FCB. The last loss for Bayern against S04 was in 2010.
Dortmund is unbeaten in Bundesliga in 31 games straight hunting the old record of Hamburger SV with 36 games in 1982/83. Now HSV can stop BVB from getting nearer to breaking the record when Germany´s current champion is coming to Hamburg. The Champions League win against Ajax Amsterdam might have ensured Dortmund even more in their abilities. Hamburg are one of two teams without a point yet and threatened to have the worst start to a season in the 125 year long history of the club. A loss against BVB would mean the fifth loss in the fifth duty game of the campaign.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen will receive Borussia Moenchengladbach on Sunday afternoon. Both teams have lost their last Bundesliga matches and both only achieved a goalless draw in Europa League on Thursday. Gladbach´s opponent was AEL Limassol while Leverkusen played against Kharkiv.
Werder Bremen and VFB Stuttgart usually are both in the upper half of the chart and fight for the position that enable teams to play in Europa and Champions League. Their starts to this season however were pretty bad as they lost two out of three. On late Sunday they will encounter in Bremen. Stuttgart drew 2-2 against Steaua Bucuresti in Europa League on Thursday.
Hanover 96 is the fourth and last German team to play in Europa League. Their match against Twente Enschede ended also 2-2 after the Dutch team was 2-0 in the lead. On Sunday they will play against TSG Hoffenheim. The other of the two teams still without a single point.
1. FC Nuremberg and Eintracht Frankfurt will encounter on Friday night when promoted Eintracht are looking to continue their winning streak and gain the lead in chart for at least a couple of hours.
More games on Saturday will be the VFL Wolfsburg against Greuther Fuerth, Mainz 05 against FC Augsburg and the match between Fortuna Duesseldorf and SC Freiburg.
